Okay, here's a list of basic commands.
it's case sensitive too, btw.
that's basically all the commands I use... well, not all of them, but they're the basic ones. :) now, you'll want to start making boxes and such, so go to the objects panel in the Modeler program. select the box tool, then click on one of the viewports to the right, and draw an outline of the box you want to make (jsut click and drag, basically). now, go to another view where it's flat (to give it depth) and do the same thing, jsut click somewhere to pull it out. next, do the numeric commands ('n') and look at where it says 'X segments' and 'Y segments' and 'Z segments'. I assume you know about X, Y, and Z dimensions, since you're kind of a modeler, in a way, with your leveling. okay, what the X, Y, and Z segments do is control how many segments this object have, which means that it'll have more points for you to play with. choose anything you want, but I'd recommend 3 x 3 x 3, that's a good starting point. :) click 'OK', then press enter or click the Make button to make the box. it should show up in the upper right hand corner of the screen, if all went well. you can click on that view and rotate it and stuff. :) poof, you've made a box! now, you'll probably wanna move some points around to make it look cool. press 't' once (or twice, just look for a small thin crosshair) then click on one of the points (teensy dots) and it should light up blue or red. that's how you select points.. you hold the mouse button down and drag it over multiple points for a bigger selection. hold down shift after your first selection has been made and click on another point to add another selection without having to reselect everything. now, press 't' again and you should get a thicker crosshair. now click and drag the mouse in one of the viewports and it should be moving points around. :) there, now you're a big boy! :D now, to make a new selection, you'll have to deselect the previous points. press 't' again to get the little crosshair then right click somewhere in the viewport and click+drag the mouse around and it'll draw a line around all the selected points. let go of the right mouse button and it'll deselect all those. that's the lasso select. :) you can do that to select points too... it saves time. make another selection of your object. now do the same thing you did before except press 'y' to get the rotate tool, and click on the viewport where you want the object to rotate around (its rotation axis) and click+drag so it'll rotate. voila. :) try this with stretch ('h') and scale ('H') too. :) cool techniques I useThese are some quick little things I wrote up awhile back to help out my friend Chris Holden, but the lazy bum never used them, so I figure I may as well stick them in here for you guys. These are in EXTREME simplified form and may take a good understanding of shorthand writing to be able to understand. I don't offer support for these tutorials.. I got stuff to do. :) BOOLEAN SUBTRACT
